In a world where self-expression and personal identity are increasingly taking center stage, the topic of cross-dressing and gender transition among men remains a sensitive area. A subject often misunderstood, especially within marital relationships.
For many wives, discovering that their husband, partner, or companion cross-dresses or wishes to undertake a gender transition can trigger a storm of emotions and a flood of questions.
How should one react to this revelation? What kind of support can be offered while respecting one’s own boundaries?
This article shares the testimony of the partner of a man who cross-dresses, illustrating the challenges and, above all, the opportunities for mutual understanding in a couple.
Fauve came to see me with her friend Capucine last December.
Capucine (a pseudonym) kindly agreed to share her experience.
Of course! I am 26 years old, and I am a singer. I am also the partner of Fauve, the wonderful young woman with the beautiful red hair.
I would say he fully played along! ^^ At first, I wanted to tease him by suggesting he try on my clothes and let me do his makeup.
When I noticed that he enjoyed it and wanted to continue, I encouraged and supported him in this journey.
Well, I must admit I felt strange… Before meeting my partner, I had never been close to cross-dressing or transgender people.
I felt a bit anxious, but I later realized it remained enriching and playful. Since then, I have been accompanying and standing by his side 😉
For him, it remains solely within the framework of cross-dressing, and only on occasion.
I wholeheartedly wanted to support him, to offer advice, feelings, opinions about this or that piece of clothing or accessory, so that he could feel more reassured and accompanied. I believe the process began after one year of being together.
We now share everything with each other, which is wonderful!
To be honest, despite the tiredness from the trip, I was very pleasantly surprised and genuinely happy to watch him bloom and discuss it with another person!
I was delighted to see him strike poses, try on different wigs.
He was so happy that he passed this emotion on to me throughout the morning!
I hope to see my partner go out again, having taken a step back from past events, to meet new people, build a network of trustworthy people, and speak about it more and more freely.
I will always be by his side whenever he needs me!
In the short term, I hope to see him wear his cool new wig.

He really wanted to take the next step, I think, and turned to someone professional.
He then suggested we enjoy a little romantic weekend in the Paris region.
I was both surprised and delighted that he took the initiative. What matters most to me is that he became happier, with sparkling eyes, after this experience…
