Accessing your femininity also means entering the feminine universe. And often, this goes through lingerie.
On this front, the choice is immense, sometimes overwhelming. There is the beautiful, the practical, the sexy, the beautiful but uncomfortable, the sexy but not always practical, and the practical that sometimes lacks flair.
In short, there is something for every taste, and it’s easy to get lost.
Some of you come to the studio and dare a lingerie session, in a very boudoir spirit.
By the way, I truly invite you to try this kind of experience. It often allows you to see your body in a new light, gain confidence, and take an important step in your femininity.
Lingerie often comes up in our conversations. And for good reason.
It’s not always visible, but it changes a lot: posture, energy, the way we perceive ourselves.
Today, I’m sharing with you 7 lingerie rules, simple and concrete, to help you make the right choices and feel good, beautiful, and aligned.

It’s fundamental.
An ill-fitting bra is uncomfortable, leaves marks on the body, and breaks the harmony of the silhouette.
Many women wear the wrong size, and I notice it in most cases here as well. That’s why I always recommend trying on in-store or personalized support.
A bra consists of two elements: the band size, related to your body shape, and the cup size.
The band size is essential.
The cup size offers more flexibility.
Unlike cisgender women, you sometimes have the option to choose your volume.
My advice remains simple: something noticeable, but not excessive.
To start, a push-up may be enough.
You observe, you get used to your image, then you adjust, over time, according to what reflects you.
A good bra supports without compressing.
It feminizes the chest, even without natural curves.
It’s an ally, never an enemy.
A strap that shows can be pretty.
Panties that leave marks, much less so.
To avoid visible lines, a few simple habits: choose lingerie in the right size, favor soft materials, opt for seamless models, or try boyshorts or thongs if you feel comfortable.
Lingerie should accompany your movements, not betray them. And above all, it should never bother you.
Discomfort quickly shows in posture and attitude.
Femininity also passes through bodily relaxation.
I often say this at the studio: even if nobody sees your lingerie, you do.
A bra and panties that go together change your mindset. It’s not necessary to have a perfectly matching set. Colors can vary, as long as they complement each other.
These are details, but it’s precisely these details that build femininity.
Lingerie touches the skin directly. So, material is essential.
Quality fabrics drape better, last longer, and stay comfortable throughout the day.
I recommend microfiber, silk, soft cotton, or quality jersey.
There is a temptation for very seductive and inexpensive underwear, especially online. For occasional use, this can be understandable. But for everyday wear, poor quality often ends up causing discomfort and irritation.
It’s better to invest in quality while still treating yourself. Also learn to distinguish use and occasion. A cotton panty with a small bow is very charming and ideal for everyday, but may be less suitable for other moments.
I think you get what I mean.
A stretched bra, worn-out panties, it happens to everyone.
But tired lingerie also tires the image you have of yourself. It no longer supports, it no longer highlights.
Regularly decluttering allows you to start fresh, without guilt.
A piece that no longer feels good has no place, neither on your body nor in your drawer. It’s a simple gesture, and often very liberating.

Wearing the same bra every day ruins it quickly.
The elastic loosens, support disappears.
Having several models prolongs their life but also lets you adapt to your outfits, your mood, and your current energy.
A discreet bra for the day, another more enveloping or more assertive depending on the occasion.
Femininity loves variety, and so does the body.
Lingerie must adapt to your life, not the other way around.
I advise you to organize your lingerie drawer by categories: basics for every day, shaping lingerie if needed, night lingerie, pleasure lingerie, and comfortable lingerie for movement.
Each piece has its role, and each moment deserves its lingerie.
I know, having discussed it at length with many of you at the studio, that feminine lingerie found in stores is primarily designed for cisgender women’s bodies.
In reality, many still wear lingerie bought in the women’s section without particular difficulty.
Adjustments come mostly with time and experience. At first, we sometimes choose models that are too small or too minimalistic, then quickly understand what works and what doesn’t.
It’s a natural learning process, done without pressure.
Note that “adapted” lingerie does exist; I invite you to read my article on the subject!
When lingerie is chosen rightly, it stops being a source of tension. The relationship to your body calms down, and choices become more intuitive.
There is no perfect lingerie nor a universal rule. There is above all the one that suits you, the one in which you feel aligned, reassured, sometimes even surprised by your reflection.
Femininity is not summed up by lace or a precise cut.
It is an intimate experience, a personal journey, explored at your own pace, sometimes allowing yourself to dare a little more, just for you.
If you feel the desire to be supported, I welcome you to the studio with listening, respect, and kindness—whether for lingerie advice, a makeup session, or a lingerie session in a boudoir spirit, designed as a moment to connect with your image and strengthen your confidence!
And since this article is the first on the blog for 2026, I wish you a year filled with gentleness towards yourself, curiosity about your femininity, and respect for who you are, today and tomorrow.
A year to dare at your own pace and cultivate a femininity that reflects you, far from norms and injunctions.
With kindness,
Jennifer
