Claude shares her experience as a transgender woman in elegant restaurants, demonstrating that everyday life can be full of grace and elegance, even in places that are not necessarily perceived or labeled as “trans-friendly.”
Here we find, at the keyboard, Claude for this new post.
Discover her adventures and tips to enjoy moments of pleasure without worrying about gender.

Claude:
… In this second part, it’s about restaurants.
As mentioned for bars, these are not necessarily trans friendly places.
These are ordinary but chic, accessible restaurants, without any particular clientele specificity and even less related to gender.
But yes, we also have the right, outside of LGBT-stamped venues, to go out to these places!
The exercise might be a bit more challenging at first.
I am particularly committed to immersion in everyday life where the question of gender does not arise, does not determine any choice.
The idea is not, risking to shock some who will read me, to live “as a woman,” but simply to be oneself, almost ordinary, with just the pleasure of elegance.
As I said about bars, I have never encountered any problem.
All these outings are also opportunities to wear a perfume.
Depending on your family situation, this may or may not be possible; it’s better to think about it beforehand.
The choice is very personal, almost intimate.
When you go to a restaurant, especially if it offers refined cuisine, try not to bother your neighbors with too strong a fragrance.
Moreover, it could compromise your tasting by altering the flavors.
In a bar or a brasserie, you are freer.
In any case, our perfume is part of our outfit.
Reservation is strongly recommended, as well as elegant or at least proper attire.
A user complained about being refused entry and feeling “humiliated.”
He was wearing shorts.
While I have nothing against shorts and daisy flip-flops, I prefer to see them in a beach bar rather than an elegant restaurant.

That evening it was with Glawdys that we decided to dine at this restaurant.
After a little discussion the day before, we chose rather chic and glamorous looks as you rarely see anymore.
As for me, and I think I can speak for Glawdys, I feel good. We are in harmony with ourselves. The place is perfectly suited to the pleasure of being “elegant.”
It is one of the pleasures of these evenings, of course.

This outfit has a story; it took me two years before I could wear it, but the story lies elsewhere.
So it was a first for me.
Glawdys and I paid particular attention to our outfits, which we wanted chic and glamorous.
But back to the restaurant.
The reception is on the ground floor and we soon understand that without a reservation it’s hopeless. Approached with a smile and no condescension, the doorman becomes as gentle as a lamb.
Then a new welcome on the seventh floor.
We are warmly received, with smiles, by the young women at the reception.
We choose a table in the patio.
The cuisine is Japanese-inspired and it’s successful. Beautiful plates and new flavors.
The service is precise, quick, just enough.
You can have a very nice evening in this restaurant.
An original place, which makes an impression, to celebrate a special event.
I was going to write “for your first restaurant outing.” No, maybe not.
The place might impress you.

The portrait was taken by Glawdys.
One of the photos where I completely recognize myself.
Glawdys and I paid particular attention to our outfits, which we wanted chic and glamorous.
I recommend being comfortable with your femininity to go to a restaurant in general, so as to feel no pressure but only pleasure.
Think about it, because you will probably need to exchange a few words with the staff, at least for your order.
Do not speak too fast or too loudly if you have never worked on your voice.
By doing so you will avoid being categorized very categorically.
Maybe. The voice also requires practice.

This place has had a turbulent architectural life.
Built at the end of the 1920s, it remained abandoned for several years.

Today it is operated by the ACCOR group.
After a very extensive renovation, the place features two pools, a hotel, a spa, a bar, and a restaurant.
It was a dinner with the complicity of Ava, including for the photos.
Originally, we thought to enjoy the rooftop for a drink before dinner.
The place is full and we settle for the bar.
The occasion for a small cocktail and a very pretty photo (in my opinion and I share it) at sunset.
From our table on the edge of the terrace, we have a splendid view, wide open over western Paris.
Just below us, the tennis courts of Roland Garros.
If beautiful summer days call for small stiletto sandals, beware here.
The floor is a type of decking that is a real trap for stilettos.
If you wear thin heels, move only if really necessary and be careful where you put your feet.

Our first attempt to access this rooftop was a failure.
We stayed on solid ground.
There was about an hour and a half wait, and finally it was announced that there would be no more entries that evening.
We tried again by going to dinner and asking for a table to be reserved for us on the rooftop after our dinner.
Very pleasant dinner, served in the patio.
The ribeye for two is very successful.
If you are a carnivore, even part-time, I recommend it.
And after dinner, our table at the top was waiting for us.
The weather was perfect to inaugurate a purple pantsuit.
This hotel restaurant is very pleasant, ideally located in St Michel.
One oddity that evening, the rooftop closed around 11 p.m.
A constraint? A choice? We had no explanation.
If you want to test the place, have a plan B because it is possible you will not be able to access it or you have to arrive very early, around 5 p.m., to perhaps get a spot.
This rooftop seems very popular.

Here different options are available to you.
On weekends around 1 p.m., a brunch, very pleasant on the terrace in good weather under large parasols.
One could almost spend the whole afternoon there.
In the evening, a dinner on the terrace or inside, or even a drink on the terrace with the last rays of a spring sun followed by dinner indoors.
I have tried both, brunch and dinner.
The second dining experience was particularly dear to my heart as it was with my daughter.
Located in a mansion all in marble and moldings, BB plays it classic with a modernist brass-toned decor by Toro & Liautard (caramel serpent sofa, mirrored ceiling, olive velvet benches…)
I invite you to appreciate it on site.
Ideal after shopping in the nearby department stores for a drink or dinner.
After the crowd in the big stores, you will be calm here, especially on weekdays.
Excellent cocktails and an original menu.
A restaurant I unfortunately recommend avoiding.
Terrace of Coco
The place is superb, next to the Palais Garnier with this beautiful terrace, and there is a dining room inside, also superb.
In summer, the competition among beautiful women is fierce but this is not the reason I discourage it.
As soon as you finish your dessert, the bill is brought to you and you are urged to pay quickly and leave.
To be avoided for that reason, unfortunately.
Thank you Claude for these precious recommendations and sharing your experiences in these magnificent places.
We will see Claude very soon for a new “opus.”
You will see, I didn’t choose the word opus by chance!
Leave me your comments, opinions, impressions on this post, but also your questions for example. I am sure Claude, myself, or our community will provide you with an answer!
Surprise announcement!
