My name is Laure, pronoun iel, hormonally transitioning (MtF), for 8 months now (oh, how time flies), single and 41 years old, and I come from the islands.
You’ll laugh, but it came very late to me. It started with clothes. As you saw during the session, I’m naturally slim. As a teenager, I used to go to the children’s sections.
Since I couldn’t find clothes that fit me on the men’s side, I obviously turned to women’s clothes.
At first, I took clothes that “worked” for both genders, a bit “androgynous” kind of (I don’t know if that’s the right term).
Gradually, I found women’s clothes prettier, offering more choices than the men’s side and especially for my size.
I started at first occasionally crossdressing and I like it.
It obviously brings me a sense of well-being and finally being myself.
I started crossdressing in the evenings outside, but unfortunately, there will always be people who judge you for who you want to be, and this is disheartening.
You have to have nerves of steel to face such unpleasant reactions.
By crossdressing, I feel better and in harmony with myself.
Unfortunately, it’s society that judges you for who you want to be and it discourages you from moving forward.
Because society in general is very stereotyped and not open-minded.
You have to have nerves of steel to deal with that. Moreover, for me, even my family does not accept it, especially my parents.
That’s why I took the step with you, Jennifer, far from my family in the islands, and allow myself to assert myself more and more.
Wind of change: Laure and her journey toward her true self
I started hormone treatment to feminize myself further.
However, I would like to learn from you, Jennifer, the basics of makeup and how to do my own makeup.
Reaching out to you, Jennifer, as a professional who knows how to soften masculine features to awaken the feminine side hiding in me, was important.
And above all, obtaining a successful result. Because not having the basics of makeup, if I did it alone, I would have done anything and it would look like nothing. And I would have been disappointed with the result.
So, after the session with you, I decided to stay made up all day until the evening.
And I was joyful to have gone out made up!!!
A big thank you to Laure for sharing her testimony.
Her path is a deep source of inspiration. As the founder of Transbeauté, witnessing such personal evolutions is an honor and a constant reminder of the mission of my work: to help everyone find and express their true identity.
For me, beauty is much more than just appearance.
It’s an expression of the soul, an art that reflects who we really are.
Laure’s story confirms my belief that true beauty lies in authenticity and in the freedom to be oneself.
I am very grateful that Laure chose to share her experience.
I hope her story will encourage others to embrace their own journey of acceptance and personal fulfillment.
