I had the chance to meet Chrystelle, despite the distance between us.
I was moved by her honesty; her story touched me deeply once again.
Chrystelle is 49 years old and lives in southern Brittany, working as a technician in the cultural sector. She is single.
It started in adolescence by wearing my sisters’ clothes (I even remember that once it was my sisters who transformed me), the first time in public was after a wedding, just for fun with other guests—I thought it was amazing. With the arrival of the internet, I understood I wasn’t alone in this situation, which was reassuring and allowed me to take the first big steps out, like in 2012 for a weekend in Bordeaux organized by fellow sisters.
For me, it’s occasional; when my free time allows it, it’s once or twice a week. I go out with other girls like me on weekends when possible, and I like to do my shopping as a girl, just to get out of the house a little more.
It brings me peace and moments of well-being and helps me manage my anxiety when other problems arise. I have found a psychological balance between man and woman; for now, there are no advanced plans for Chrystelle’s future.
Yes, a little always, but it has decreased with experience and the fact that many people around me know.
