Here is an experience that every travesti.e encounters or will encounter one day.

“Spoiler alert”: a costly experience

Today, I would like to address a topic that I know is very real, and that has a somewhat harsh name: the famous “purge.”

This word isn’t very pretty, but it exists, and maybe you have already experienced it yourself.

It’s an experience that is rarely easy, often leaving a mix of pain, regret, and frustration.

travesti en pleine purge

What is the purge?

The purge is that moment when, under the weight of fear or guilt, we decide to throw everything away: clothes, makeup, shoes… As if getting rid of objects could erase the need to express one’s femininity.

At the moment, it can give the impression of regaining control.
But in reality, this need always comes back, sometimes even stronger.

Why does it happen?

There are many reasons:

• The fear of being discovered by those around you,
• The feeling of “not being normal,” of feeling ashamed,
• The desire to put a definitive end to something you think you must hide. (spoiler alert: it will come back).

But what we can observe (or if you don’t know it yet…) is that the purge never brings a lasting solution.

It only postpones an inner reality that, sooner or later, resurfaces. Tirelessly. Inevitably.

When there is no purge... but accumulation

Some people don’t really purge, but accumulate over the years.

Then one day, they realize they have many pieces that don’t really fit them: too cliché, too exaggerated, not really in line with their identity.

And once again, this is not a failure. It’s a natural stage.

In fact, many cis girls also go through phases: the “Barbie pink” period, the overly marked style… before finding a way of being that suits them better.

Turning the purge into evolution

Rather than seeing the purge as a fault or a mistake, I prefer to consider it as a transformation.

Every garment, every purchase, every try played its role: they served as a springboard to move towards better self-awareness.

The next step is to learn how to do a kind and thoughtful selection:

• Keep the pieces that truly reflect who you are,
• Let go of those belonging to a past stage,
• Accept that your style evolves as you do.

All with gentleness...

Support to move forward more serenely

For several years, I have been supporting transgender and travesti people in their journey of expression.

I can tell you one thing: this famous purge is not a fate: with support and suitable advice, it can become a step towards more freedom and harmony.

That is precisely the role of my personalized style advice: helping you make the right choices from the start, to invest in clothes and accessories that really suit you, that correspond to your identity, and that won’t end up at the back of a closet.

This helps to avoid the trap of fantasy or caricature, or worse: the regret of having bought a piece that looked beautiful in a photo but doesn’t flatter you (and this also happens to cis women!).

Result:

• You gain confidence by avoiding ridicule,
• You save money by buying less but much better, developing your style,
• You also contribute to the planet by limiting waste and unnecessary “purges.”

And for those who are still afraid of being discovered, I also offer a “secured” wardrobe: a discreet space where your clothes, shoes, and accessories can wait for the right moment to be worn.

Your clothing choices should not be a source of fear or regret, but a path toward more confidence, sustainability, and above all… joy.

Daring to be yourself also means daring to choose what truly highlights you. My role is to guide you step by step, so that your clothes are no longer a burden… but a true joy to wear.
